Scanning for Cloaked Targets

A droid scan can reveal a cloaked target.

Doctrine

Reserve detection tools when the enemy roster suggests concealment instead of spending every utility action on damage.

Use the interaction as a tool for a defined battlefield state, not as a fixed opening for every mission.

Good fit

  • The required target or terrain is present.
  • The squad can afford the enabling action.
  • The payoff improves survival or objective tempo.

Poor fit

  • Setup costs more actions than it saves.
  • Line of sight or positioning breaks the chain.
  • A timed objective demands immediate movement.

Test protocol

On release, reproduce the tactic against several targets, record AP and resource costs, note invalid targets and compare the result with a simpler alternative. Only then should the Wiki call it efficient or assign a build priority.

Source and evidence boundary

The direct answer on this page is grounded in a first-party publication. It does not convert unreleased values, inferred story beats or marketing footage into confirmed gameplay data. Any development-stage value will be checked again against the launch build.
